It’s spring… I think.
My favorite photo is fourth from the bottom.
Ah more burgers! This delicious burger is courtesy of Petey’s Burgers right here in Astoria. Possibily one of the best burgers ever. That’s saying a lot. I had the double cheese burger combo with fries and a coke. The burger was nice and juicy with plenty of cheese to satisfy my dairy craving.
The combo also includes a generous portion of fries. The fries were decent, a little on the soft side. I didn’t mind finishing them.
My Petey’s combo was around 11 dollars. A pretty good deal here in New York City.
Petey’s is a great change from the typical fast food joint i.e McDonalds and dare I say it I like it even better than Wendy’s.

I didn’t realize my last two posts were cupcake posts. Damn this obsession with baked goods! Here is my other obsession burgers.
This post is a little over due (o.k way over due). A few weeks ago I visited the new Steak n’ Shake restaurant here in NYC.
What’s the big deal you say. It’s just another burger place in the myriad of burger places in NYC. Well this burger place is special. Let me break it down for you.
IT”S CHEAP!
What?
IT”S SUPER CHEAP!
You mean it’s cheap for NYC?
HELL NO IT”S CHEAP FOR WELL ALMOST ANYWHERE!
The menu has the same prices everywhere. So you can get a burger here in the city for the same price as a burger in say Atlanta or Chicago. The average price for a burger is around 4 bucks. You have to order fries and a beverage seperately. No big deal.
The burgers themselves aren’t that big and are average tasting. I ordered the bacon cheese burger and found that I could have easily eaten another one. The fries however were decent.
Another draw is the soda fountain. You have literally hundreds of soft drink choices and I have to say the machine is pretty cool. I enjoyed a cherry coke along with my Steak n’ Shake.
The NYC location is conveniently located near David Letterman studios so if you happen to be hanging out in midtown or there to see Dave definitely check it out.
